Intra-Oral Camera
All patient exams in my office are performed with the intra-oral camera allowing you to view your teeth and identify any problem areas. It is the size of a dental mirror and enables us to diagnose problems in their earliest stages such as:
• Cavities
• Cracked Teeth
• Broken Fillings
• Cavities Next To Old Fillings
The widespread use of fluoride has made the surface of teeth so hard the process of dental decay has changed. Cavities are smaller and harder to diagnose. Bacteria can penetrate seemingly intact enamel appearing only as a dark stain. If left untreated, the bacteria can reach the softer dentin layer spreading rapidly with the possibility of reaching the pulp chamber leading to a root canal.
