As the first father-son dental practice in Clear Lake City, Dr. Chet Hawkins has continued the tradition of exceptional care through advanced training from the L.D. Panky Institute as well as being awarded a Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry (MAGD). The Panky Institute is the world's premier post-doctoral educational institution. Dr. Chet is one of only 1500 dentists worldwide to have earned the prestigious honor of Master in the Academy of General Dentistry. He has also been awarded a Fellowship in the American College Of Dentists (FACD) by his peers. These achievements mean the practice of Dr. Chet Hawkins is the most highly educated general dental office in the city. Dr. Chet is committed to continuing education believing that being a perpetual student will continue his zeal for dentistry, as well as bring the latest technological breakthroughs to his patients.
The State of Texas mandates 12 hours of continuing education every year. Dr. Chet has averaged 100 plus hours of continuing education per year.
Dr. Chet graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1974, Baylor University in 1978 where he played on the 1974 SWC champion football team, and the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston in 1983. Chet married his high school sweetheart, Deby, and they have three children-Kendall, Kayce, and Hunter. Dr. Chet enjoys golf, hunting, riding his Harley, and watching his kids' activities.
