This really is a family business! Debra, our office manager, has been married to Dr. Hawkins since 1980 so she understands perfectly what a stickler he is for excellence. Honest, caring, fun, and dependable, she brings her own excellence to the table, making sure that everything runs smoothly, and every patient is happy and has completely individualized treatment. “I love my job,” says Debra. “Our patients just make my day. Add that to the passion our staff has for their work and the honesty and integrity of Dr. Hawkins, and I couldn’t ask for a better way to spend my days. Plus, it is always exciting to learn new management techniques to help the office become better and better.”
A 35-year veteran of the dental field, Debra graduated from Baylor University with a degree in marketing management. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, exercising, and attending Bible study and volunteering through St. Martin’s Episcopal church, spending time with her children, grandchildren, and her beloved Riley, a 13-year-old Labradoodle.
Registered Dental Assistant
Our compassionate and caring RDA received her training at the Apollo College of Medical/Dental Careers in Portland, Oregon and has been following her dreams in the dental field for over 30 years. She joined our team six years ago and has been walking on clouds ever since. “I love EVERYTHING about my job, from getting to know my patients, comforting them when they have concerns, and seeing them smile after they have had painless dentistry, to the family-like atmosphere of this office,” enthuses Dawn. “Plus, there is nothing like working for a master dentist. Together, we really are making a difference in people’s lives.”
When she is not assisting Dr. Hawkins, Dawn loves traveling and spending time with her amazing children and grandchildren as well as enjoying the beach and animals of all shapes and sizes.
Registered Dental Hygienist
A graduate of Armstrong Atlantic State University, Christine has almost 30 years of experience under her belt. Patients call her warm and supportive. We call her smart, strong, and reliable. But whatever you call Christine, her passion for dentistry always shows. “Since dentistry is all I have ever done, I can’t imagine working anywhere else. I love getting to know patients on a one-on-one basis and helping them achieve great oral health. That’s easy in an office like this, where quality is the priority and we work with one patient at a time.” When she isn’t making smiles gleam, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, working out, crafting, and volunteering as a swim official.
